Earth Spins Around Sun Scare
A huge debate is brewing over the Polish scholar, Copernicus revelations about
the Earth revolving around the sun. This statement has worried many people who
believe that the Earth is the true centre, "If the Earth spins around the Sun,
how do we all stay on it!" commented one leading star gazer.
In an interview with our reporter, Copernicus replied "until Aristotle proved
the earth was round, we all thought we were going to fall off the edge. I know
that at the moment, my words are mostly speculative, but soon there will be
proof".
How was he going to prove this wild comment; "A good friend of mine, Galileo
Galilei is, at present, studying the movements of the stars in connection with
my text."
We asked how well the research was going and how he will react if his comments
are found to be hasty, "I know I am right!"
Copernicus replied, "Galileo is making great progress in proving my
hypothesis".
So what will you do if you are right, we asked, "Well, I think I will go on
holiday. I haven't been away for years, it's time I went to see some of my
friends around the world".
Well, it seems that, in his mind anyway, we might actually be spinning round
and round. So, hang on to your hats!
New Invention Shocks Scientists
Astronomy News can exclusively reveal that a new invention, close to
completion, is poised to revolutionise the business of studying the stars. The
Telescope is a system of lenses inside a tube.
Athens Lenses, the company who designed the Telescope, have refused to comment
on how much it will cost, but did say "We cannot give any prices as yet, due to
fluctuations in the glass market, but we can assure you that it will be
reasonable".
